No matter what’s going on in life, there’s always that one song, or selection of songs, that gets you through it, encourages you, or takes you back to that perfect day weeks, months, or years ago. There really is a song for every situation, every mood, and every thought!
Recently during the end of the day one of my colleague asked me to listen to "Saarah ye aalam” from the film Shiva (yet to be released). Wow what an amazing song! The moment I listened to it I felt my heart became lighter than it was earlier…. I felt that I was totally rejuvenated after a hectic day at work. I will always keep thanking Dilip for that.

This well composed song has perfect instrumentation along with harmony of the basic instruments like flute and piano (can be noted if heard thro the hear phones) which definitely keeps u refreshed and bring in the mood as said above.

I think it is Shreya's sweet voice along with Illayaraja's music obviously that’s some kind of stunning combination. This new album 'Shiva 2006', tuned by Illayaraja were the greatest hits from his golden times. They have come out sweeeeet.
Especially the 'Saarah ye aalam' song, is a complete rewire of the golden hit, 'Ananda Ragam' song. It was originally sung by Uma Ramanan. Now, the tune has come back to life with this new album quite vibrantly. Shreya ghoshal should be really lucky to sing it again and I don’t doubt if any one else deserve the stature. What an adorable number!!
